The core values that inspire us
And inform all that we do.

We are Refinery
And we are not the same without you!
Well it seems like we did all JUMP into Women’s coffee this week - as we had 10 women join us!
Each week we enjoy great coffee, meaningful conversations, and plenty of laughs as we discuss different topics—from life’s sliding door moments to our biggest regrets and everything in between.
If you’re looking to connect with other women in the local community, we’d love for you to join us!
We meet at Daily Break Cafe, Glenmore Park at 10am every Wednesday during term time
What a Sunday! It was both challenging and thought-provoking, with a real focus on growth. Everyone had the opportunity to contribute, and the sermon certainly gave us plenty of food for thought.
Looking forward to next Sunday as we begin our Core Values series!
See you Sunday at 10am - we’ll save you a seat!
Sunday at Refinery Christian Church was a little different this week as we welcomed our guest speaker, Mr Gary Raymond!
Gary shared his testimony and an encouraging message titled, “Who Rescues the Rescuer?”
Join us again next Sunday as Pastor Gavin returns — maybe a little jet-lagged — but ready to welcome you back to the Refinery family!
📍 Wotso, Shop 3/120 Mulgoa Rd, Jamisontown
🕙 Sundays at 10am
Last week, members of The Refinery Christian Church volunteered at a fundraiser organised by the Palliative Care Unit at Mount Druitt Hospital by participating in Mother’s Day gift wrapping.
All proceeds raised went directly to the Palliative Care Unit at Mount Druitt Hospital and will be used to purchase aromatherapy oils and toiletries to provide patients with comfort and dignity.
We had the privilege of working alongside an amazing group of volunteers, and the generosity shown by everyone who visited the wrapping station at Westfield Mount Druitt was incredible.
The gift wrapping fundraiser will be happening again at Christmas, so let me know if you’d be interested in volunteering — we’ll definitely be back to help!
Wow!! What a fantastic Sunday we had celebrating, honouring and appreciating the value of Mothers…❤️
Our kids craft involved decorating flower vases, and making pasta necklaces for the mums 💐🌷
Our message focused on God’s plan for Mothers and the role men can play supporting and encouraging them…
We then finished the morning with a fabulous High tea and a fun music quiz!!
Who would have guessed that Brendon, our winner knew so many love song power ballads!!🎶
The Refinery Christian Church values the opportunity to spend time with other churches as part of its Capital C mission - being one church and one community together
Refinery church took place at 10am and then Pastor Gavin and some of The Refinery congregation had the absolute pleasure of serving at Church of Christ in Penrith.
After a fun trivia quiz on the top ten songs with ❤️ in the title (shoutout for the winning guess of total eclipse of the heart!), Pastor Gavin shared a powerful message on the condition of your heart, followed by afternoon tea!
We got to worship, enjoy fellowship and make new friendships!
Thanks to Matt and the team for creating this opportunity, thanks to everyone at Church of Christ for having us- let’s plan our next visit soon!
Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” Luke 23:34
The crucifixion and resurrection teach that suffering is not meaningless - hope, renewal and new beginnings are always possible through Jesus.
Join us on Easter Sunday at 10am as we look at the resurrection and why it still matters to us today.
Easter is just around the corner 🌿✨
Whether you’ve never stepped into a church before, or it’s simply been a while, you’re warmly invited to join us at The Refinery. There’s a place here for you—come just as you are.
Come along and be part of something meaningful this Easter:

Join us Wednesdays at 10am at Daily Break Cafe for our weekly women’s group — a relaxed, welcoming space to connect and share life together.
Some weeks we’re lucky enough to celebrate with birthday cake baked by Laura (and yes, it’s as good as it sounds 🎂), and every week we dive into meaningful conversations. This week’s topic was: How does friendship change as we age? How do we hold on to it — and how do we let go when we need to?
This group is open to all women in our community, and we’d love to meet you.
✨ First coffee is on us!
Come as you are, bring a friend, or make a new one!
See you next Wednesday!

We were grateful to be part of such a beautiful initiative today — creating origami hearts for families who have lost a loved one. 🩷
Each heart holds a space for a personal message, honouring someone deeply loved.
Thanks to our amazing volunteers and to Karen, Palliative Care Volunteer Manager, for guiding us (and proving no origami experience was needed!). Together we folded 430+ hearts in just one morning — what a fantastic way to spend a Saturday!
Thank you to everyone who joined us and volunteered their time today…..We can’t wait to see you at the next event.

✨Join Us for a Meaningful Community Activity – 14th March at 10am✨
Be part of a heartfelt initiative as we come together to create origami hearts for families who have lost a loved one.
These special origami hearts provide family members and carers with a space to write a personal message, honouring the love, memories, and connection they continue to hold.
Across the Western Sydney Local Health District — including Mount Druitt Hospital, Blacktown Hospital, Auburn Hospital and Westmead Hospital — the Bereavement Service holds five memorial services each year to support families in remembering their loved ones.
We are looking for volunteers to join us for a few hours to help create these meaningful keepsakes. The session will be led by a Palliative Care Volunteer Manager, and no prior origami experience is needed.
Your time and care can make a lasting difference to grieving families.
Please let us know if you would like to attend so we can ensure adequate seating and materials are prepared.

Recently, our team at The Refinery Christian Church had the absolute joy of serving at Ronald McDonald House, Westmead through the Cook & Care program. 💛
We spent the morning preparing meals for families caring for seriously ill kids — and honestly, it reminded us how good it feels to think a little less about ourselves and a little more about others.
Serving others, growing together in faith — that’s the Refinery Christian Church.
We believe that church is more than just a building.
If you’d like to be part of these service opportunities – follow along on our socials to stay updated…We’d love to hear from you

WHAT A WEEK FOR A CHURCH PLANT! 🙌✨
We are forever grateful to our amazing support team from The Refinery Christian Church Arizona for travelling all the way to visit us here at The Refinery Christian Church Sydney! 🇦🇺❤️🇺🇸
It’s been a week overflowing with fellowship, service, and fun— where hearts were lifted, spirits encouraged, and God’s presence felt deeply. 💛
Together we made plans for growth by being relevant, reaching our community, and committed to connecting with those who are looking for purpose.
To everyone at The Refinery — thank you for pouring into us and helping bring God’s plans to life. We’re so excited to see how He continues to move through this partnership! 🙏🔥
